Indy Install Fest

Ok I was only going to post my pics from the night to my flicker site (http://www.flickr.com/photos/10732889@N00/), but I kept running into issues trying to upload the pictures at the same time that my VS 2008 was trying to install.  After about 3 times of having explore restart trying to connect my blue tooth phone.  I decided to give this blogging thing a try.  More to come as the night goes on.  A note to those installing I had issues with the start of my install because Vista was installing update at the same time.  All is going well now.  More on the night later.

2008 finally finished and as Dave Bost pointed out to me, I should have not only read his blog on install fest prep, but actually do what was in the prep. :)   Still having issues with the pictures so I will upload them later tonight when I get my USB cable.

So far we have had some good demos on

  • RSS feeds
  • unit testing in VS 2008 Professional
  • Code metrics.
  • Java Script debugging
  • HashSet and System.AddIn
  • Debugging Ajax apps.

The install fest is finished and I have to say it was a great time.  Thanks to the Indy .net groups for hosting you did a great job.
